When you are making a donation, participating in one of our programs, completing an online form on our website, submitting feedback, completing a survey or subscribing to our mailing list and newsletter, NHF collects your personal information. We may use this information to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes, provide services you have requested, update you on the impact of your contributions, and communicate with you about the work we do. We may use your information to complete a financial transaction for donating to the organization; participating in an NHF program; or when you give us consent to provide you with marketing information about donating, joining one of our programs, general news and items of interest to our constituents. Marketing
NHF provides a separate online form to join our mailing list. Where we have your consent to do so (for example, you have subscribed to our email list or have indicated you are interested in receiving information from us), we may send you emails or other communications that we feel may be of interest to you. NHF may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of services offered or that may be offered. Social Media Community Guidelines
National Health Foundation social media channels provide a place where ideas and content can be shared, and conversation can flow freely and respectfully. We encourage you to join the conversation. Below are our guidelines for communicating on these channels.

  • Be respectful when interacting with our community.
  • We won’t tolerate abusive language or content, including material that is defamatory, obscene, violent, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, aggressive, argumentative, or that can be construed as bullying or is otherwise deemed inappropriate.
  • We reserve the right to remove content from our social media channels if we feel it fails to adhere to any of these guidelines.
  • We also reserve the right to block/ban users from our social media channels if they exhibit inappropriate behavior.

NHF’s website includes links, some temporary and some permanent, to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy and security practices of any other website or the nature of the content contained therein.

Children’s Privacy
None of the content and information on NHF’s website is targeted toward children under 13 years of age. We make every effort to ensure that we do not collect or maintain information on our website from those we know to be younger than 16 unless parental consent has been obtained in writing. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, please contact us in writing via email or using our contact information below.   • Notify you in the event of a breach of unsecured protected health information (as required by law)

Changes to This Policy
NHF reserves the right to change our privacy practices and to make the new privacy notice provisions effective for all protected health information that we maintain.
